01 In 2020, the total output value of China's construction industry increased by 6.2% year on year!  

On January 18, the National Bureau of Statistics released the national economic data for 2020, which showed a steady recovery of the national economy in 2020, with major targets achieved better than expected.  In 2020, China's GDP reached 10.15986 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.3% over the previous year, surpassing the 100 trillion yuan mark.  The total output value of the construction industry reached 2.63947 trillion yuan, up 6.2% year on year.  

02 Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security: "Architectural curtain wall designer" will be included in the new occupation!  

On January 15, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security released information on the occupations to be added and adjusted, including a new occupation in the field of architecture -- architectural curtain wall designer.  

03 Qualification approval authority devolved!  Six pilot areas issued a document to implement!  

On December 24, 2020, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued a Notice on the Pilot project of Delegating Power to Lower Levels of Qualification Approval of Construction Engineering Enterprises, and decided to select Six regions to carry out the pilot project: Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Guangdong and Hainan.  

In 2020, China signed more than 250 billion US dollars in new contracts for foreign contractual projects.  

Fang Qiuchen, president of the China International Contractors Association, said in an interview that Chinese enterprises are now moving toward high-quality development in the international contracting market.  Compared with the annual contract value of us $34 million in 1979, the value of new contracts signed by China in 2020 exceeded US $250 billion, an increase of nearly 8,000 times in 40 years.  

The first tunnel of the Yellow River!  All the way!

On January 21, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced a new batch of construction enterprise qualification expert review opinions, construction enterprise qualification upgrade application "failed" rate of about 81%.
