Rock woolproducts adopt high-quality basalt, dolomite, etc as main raw materials, after more than 1450 ℃ high temperature melting, adopt international advanced four axis high-speed centrifugal centrifuge fiber, at the same time into a certain amount of binder, dust, oil, hate water after approved by the cotton machine collection, pendulum method technology, combined with three-dimensional method cotton-spreading after curing, cutting, The formation of different specifications and uses of rock wool products.

Question one: what are the advantages of rock wool in building insulation and fire prevention? What problems should be paid attention to to do a good job of external wall insulation fire prevention?

Answer: A building fire is a very scary thing that no one wants to see. Rock wool itself is A silicate fiber inorganic material, non-combustible, rock wool with thermal insulation, belongs to A grade fireproof material. In the use of rock wool fire insulation board, not only to ensure the effect of heat preservation, at the same time the fire performance in line with the fire standards.

To do a good job of external wall insulation fire prevention needs to do the following: first, strictly implement all kinds of fire laws and regulations, strictly implement the fire control system. Secondly, choose good quality thermal insulation materials, the use of thermal insulation materials in the primary stage to do a good job of fire prevention measures, the intermediate stage to do a good job of monitoring the construction process, to prevent the possibility of various fires; After the thermal insulation material is made into the external wall thermal insulation system, the correct use and prevention of fire.

Question 2: To use rock wool products with good thermal conductivity and fire resistance, does that mean that tensile strength, water absorption and durability must be reduced?

Answer: the domestic production of high qualityrock woolcan fully meet all the requirements of tensile strength, water absorption, durability and thermal insulation performance, and belongs to A class non-combustible material. In most applications, the thermal insulation performance of rock wool is comparable to that of polystyrene board, and in some applications even exceeds that of polystyrene board.

Question three: what is the external wall insulation system? Can rock wool be used in exterior insulation composite system?

Answer: external wall heat preservation system refers to the use of a certain fixed way (bonding, mechanical anchoring, spraying, pouring, etc.), the coefficient of thermal conductivity is lower (heat preservation and heat insulation effect is better) thermal insulation materials and building wall fixed in one body, increase the average thermal resistance of the wall, so as to achieve heat preservation or heat insulation effect of a kind of engineering practice.

Rock wool external wall insulation system has the advantages of low thermal conductivity, good air permeability and high combustion performance. It can be applied to the energy-saving thermal insulation works of the external walls of new, expanded and rebuilt residential buildings and public buildings, including external wall thermal insulation, non-transparent curtain wall thermal insulation and EPS external thermal insulation system.

Q4: In Europe, such as Germany, does rock wool account for only a small market share in all exterior insulation composite system applications?

Answer: In Germany, for high-rise buildings over 22 meters, the market share ofrock woolin exterior insulation composite system is 100%. Rock wool accounts for 5.6% of all applications of composite systems for exterior insulation, but this statistic includes the most common building in Europe: low-rise single-family houses, which are not comparable to the high-rise structures prevalent in China.

Question five: what is the difference between rock wool and slag wool?

Answer: Rock wool and slag wool are different products. The main component of slag wool is slag, which has the characteristics of high content of slag ball, low melting point and low acidity coefficient. Therefore, the thermal conductivity of slag wool is high, and the heat shrinkage will be very serious in case of fire.

Slag wool usually cannot be used in fire protection projects. And slag wool can not meet the application of exterior insulation composite system, so should not be used in exterior insulation composite system.

Question six: whether rock wool can cause damage to human health?

Answer: rock wool is not harmful to human health. Several organizations (such as the World Health Organization) have conducted numerous studies on whether rock wool is carcinogenic, and the results clearly show that it is not. The research result is: "adiabatic glass wool, continuous glass fiber, rock wool and slag wool cannot be classified as human carcinogen (class 3)". Studies on the carcinogenicity of rock wool are well known and reported publicly. Furthermore, as far as health concerns are concerned, we are not aware of any restrictions on the use of rock wool.

Question seven: will the production process of rock wool consume a lot of energy and produce a lot of emissions?

A: Most of the production waste in modern factories is recyclable, and the small amount of waste left is treated to reduce emissions to a minimum. A unit of rock wool in its use can save energy a hundred times more than its energy consumption in production. Making 1KG of rock wool consumes about 20MJ of energy, while making 1KG of polystyrene board consumes at least 85MJ. While polystyrene panels are made from fossil fuels such as oil and natural gas, rock wool is made from a very common rock (basalt) with almost unlimited reserves.
